Why use Nasodine
1. Why use Nasodine?
We breathe 25,000 times a day, exposing the nasal passages to allergens, germs, and other contaminants. The nose has mechanisms for eliminating these and maintaining nasal health, but sometimes airborne contaminants can overwhelm our defenses and disrupt the hygienic balance in the nose, causing unwanted symptoms. Nasodine can help by removing the contaminants before they cause a problem or if they do, then to help the natural defenses quickly win the battle and minimize the disruption to your life.
2. What are the ingredients in Nasodine?
Nasodine is a non-medicated nasal cleanser. Its patented formulation contains: Water (94%), glycerol (5%), povidone-iodine (0.5%) and alcohol (0.5%), plus buffers and other ingredients to ensure the tolerability and stability of the formulation over its stated shelf-life.
3. How is Nasodine different from other nasal cleansers?
Nasodine is supported by more than 10 years of research to develop a patented, safe formula for regular nasal use. Nasodine was the first iodine-based nasal spray to be developed and the only one backed human trials and published studies confirming its safety. Nasodine has also been designed with user convenience in mind:
1. Integrated pump and bottle: ready-to-use, no messy assembly or risk of leakage.
2. German engineered pump ensures consistent dosing and a gentle spray mist designed to reach throughout the nasal passages.
3. Sleek and professional bottle design - looks and feels great.
4. Custom plastic bottle composition ensures product stability and no staining; no need for a glass bottle.
How to use Nasodine
1 . How do I use Nasodine?
- Blow your nose before use.
- Holding your head upright, insert the spray tip into one nostril while holding the other one closed.
- Depress the spray pump while inhaling to ensure the spray reaches throughout the nasal passages.
- Repeat this for a total of 3-4 sprays for each nostril.
- Replace protective cap after use.
- You can do this up to 4 times daily as needed.
2. When should I use Nasodine?
Nasodine is a nasal cleanser designed to promote and maintain nasal health in the face of airborne threats. Use it whenever you feel signs of disrupted nasal health or after exposure to crowds at public gatherings, social events, or while travelling.
3. How long will a bottle last?
There is enough solution in each 25 mL bottle for 7 days if used as 4 sprays per nostril, 4 times daily. After first use, Nasodine can be used again at any time up to the expiry date. Check the 'use by' date on the pack.
Do I have to keep Nasodine in the fridge? No, it should not be stored in the fridge as low temperatures may alter its spray characteristics. It should be stored at room temperature and always below 86°F/30°C.
4. Why doesn't Nasodine have tamper evident packaging?
Tamper evident packaging is only required for products available on retail shelves and not for products like Nasodine that are currently supplied exclusively online. Also, the Nasodine bottle is inherently tamper-proof, so there is no practical risk of tampering even if it were available through retail outlets.
